Tips


  1. Choose the ripest of bananas.

  4. Turn the oven to a 180-degree temperature.
  5. Place unpeeled bananas on a baking tray and let them ‘ripen’ inside for 10 to 15 minutes. Mash your bananas using two forks for faster and better results.
  6. Keep all ingredients handy.

  8. Use good quality of vanilla extract.

Ingredients


  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup castor sugar
  • 1 cup mashed bananas (use 4 medium size ripe bananas)
  • 2 cup flour
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder

Method


  • Pre-heat the oven to 180 C. Line the loaf pan with parchment paper
  • In a large bowl beat oil and sugar, until the mixture is fluffy
  • Mix in the ripe bananas and use a whisk to make sure it is well incorporated
  • Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon powder to this and mix well. Beat in the milk
  • Divide half of the batter in a separate bowl and add cocoa powder
  • Then add one by one layer of batter in loaf plane i,e first add one portion of chocolate batter then add plain batter and so on
  • Then with the help of fork stir the batter slowly and you’re done
  • Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf in layers pan and bake at 180 C for 40-50 minutes
  • Using toothpick check if its done or not if toothpick came out clean your cake is done.
  • Cool it for half and hour on cooling rack and enjoy the cake with coffee
